District and School Communication to Parents

Posted on 08/21/2025
We are excited to announce we’ll be using ParentSquare to communicate with you at the district and school level.

ParentSquare provides a simple and safe way for everyone at school to connect.

With ParentSquare you’ll be able to:

  • Receive all district, school and classroom communication via email, text, or app
  • View the school calendar for events
  • Easily sign up to volunteer
  • and much more!

  • You will soon receive an invitation email or text to join ParentSquare. Please click the link to activate your account. It takes less than a minute. Contact your school if you are missing students. Read our Getting Started Guide for additional detail (Guía de inicio para padres).

You can use ParentSquare on any device. You can download the free mobile app for iOS or Android or use the desktop version at this link: ParentSquare.

  • Generally, the system will send out a text and an email when your school posts information. Families can control when and how they receive this information.

    1. From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top-left.
    2. Select Account.
    3. Select Notifications
    4. Use the toggle to turn on or off notifications by email, text and app.
    5. Select Instant or Digest for each mode.

Two smartphones display app screens with notification settings highlighted.

    1. From Home, click your name at the top-right and select My Account.
    2. Select Notification Settings on the left.
    3. Choose your preferred Notification Settings for General Announcements & Messages (Off, Instant or Digest) and School Alerts (On or Off).

  • If you suspect you are missing out on important information from your school or the district, take a moment to review these possible solutions!

    • Make sure your school has the correct phone number and email on file - contact your school
    • Emails going to spam? Use these instructions to add ParentSquare to your email contacts!
    • Add the number "360-662-1623" to your phone contacts
    • Text "START" to 66458 to re-opt into text alerts
    • By default, we will text you, so if you only want to be contacted by phone/audio message, text "STOP" to 66458
    • Not a staff member or guardian? You can still sign up for email alerts here.
    • Check to see if your mobile phone is in a "Do not disturb" mode overnight. This would prevent the message/app alert from notifying you immediately.
    • VOIP (voice over IP) landlines will receive a text by default. If you want a call, you can designate your number as a landline when you register your ParentSquare account.
    • If you still need help, please let us know!

Previously sent alerts are available under "Alerts and Notices" for three weeks - they do not appear in the main post feed (see desktop alert example | mobile phone example).
