September 2026

Dear CK Families,

We support parents and guardians as the primary educator for puberty and sexual education topics. Strong communication between children, their families, and trusted adults at school can help students feel safe and make healthy choices. That is why we want to work with your family on this important milestone in your student’s development.

Schools are required to teach Comprehensive Sexual Health Education (CSHE) to all students in grades 5-12.  Our digital CSHE lessons provide medically and scientifically accurate information using a variety of resources.  You can review the digital lessons by visiting our Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Lessons posted on the district website

Each year, parents/guardians are given 30 days notice prior to the lessons being delivered and must opt their child in or out of CSHE lessons. Please provide your response to opt your child in or out of the district CSHE via the ParentSquare form.  You may also cut the bottom off this letter or print the permission form and return it to the main office at their school.

In partnership,

Jeni Zapatka
