Celebrating Our Commitment to Military-Connected Students

We’re proud to share that we have once again earned the state’s Purple Star Award! This recognition honors school districts that go above and beyond to support military-connected students and families through dedicated programs, resources, and a strong culture of belonging. The award was announced during April, which our school board designated as Month of the Military Child.

We’re proud to receive this designation for a second time, after being recognized when the award was first introduced two years ago. Because the Purple Star is awarded on a two-year cycle, this designation reflects our continued commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students, which is almost half of our student population.

We’re grateful to our staff, students, and partners who help us ensure these students feel supported, connected, and ready to succeed. They serve, too!

Happening Tomorrow: Developmental Disabilities Resource Fair

The Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities Resource Fair will be held on Friday, April 24, at the Central Kitsap High School Satellite Gym from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Join us to connect with local organizations, gather valuable information, and discover resources that support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families—all in one place!

Happening Monday: Listening Session

The next community listening session with our school board is scheduled for Monday (April 27) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Silverdale Center (3650 NW Anderson Hill Rd., Silverdale) in the Rainier Conference Room (2nd floor). We hope you’ll take a few minutes to stop by. Our school board directors look forward to seeing you!
