Complete your 2025 Impact Aid form

Every year, Central Kitsap School District applies for federal Impact Aid funding. These funds compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property.

The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds. This survey is critical to our district’s resources for students. We must receive information from each student.

You can also complete the form online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal* as soon as possible. The online form is in English. If you prefer to complete a paper form in Spanish or Tagalog, you may pick one up at your school. Translation services are also available to help complete this form by calling 360-662-1040 (ext. 1724).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every year Central Kitsap School District must apply for Federal Impact Aid funds from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax exempt federal property in the Silverdale and Bremerton area.  

    CKSD must conduct a federal residence and employment survey on a yearly basis to obtain a current count of families in the district who live on/or work on federal property. The results of our Impact Aid survey help support our request for these federal funds. This survey is critical to our district’s resources for students.   • If this is your first time logging in, your username is the email address we have on file for the primary guardian of each student. This is usually the first parent or guardian listed during online registration or returning student check-in. To request your password:

    1. Navigate to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. 
    2. Click the “Forgot Username or Password?” link.
    3. Enter your email address in both the “Parent Username” and “Parent Email” fields.
    4. Check your email for your password and login instructions.

    1. Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. 
    2. Select your student's name in the blue bar at the top of the screen. 
    3. Click “Forms” in the left menu. 
    4. Click on the “[Central Kitsap] A  - Impact Aid Program Survey” link. 
    5. Fill in all required fields. 
    6. Click the submit button. 
    7. Repeat steps 3-7 for all students.

  • If you need the form in another language, call (360) 662-1652 or email ImpactAid@ckschools.org. 

    If you need more help in reading, understanding, or completing forms or information, the district will provide, upon request, oral translation, or interpretation by a trained translator/interpreter. This service is free. Call Student Services at 360-662-1734 to request translation services. 

  • The school district only reports the number of students living with families who live on and/or work on federal property. We do not report information about individual students in the Federal Impact Aid application.
