We shared an update with our school board this week on our school support levy and what to expect in the coming years.
In 2024, voters approved a three-year replacement levy. While 2025 collections aligned with our typical rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value, lower-than-expected growth in assessed property values resulted in a 2026 rate of $1.55. Looking ahead, we plan to reduce collections in 2027 to maintain a stable rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. View the board presentation.
The school support levy is 10% of our budget and provides local funding that supports programs and services for students.
