Most major construction work at Central Kitsap Middle School is complete! Technology and furniture are moving into the building. CK Middle staff have begun packing for their big move over spring break. Classes start April 8!

In addition to our major bond projects, we’re continuing work on a variety of projects throughout the district. We’ve been improving accessibility with pathways and stands at Silverdale Stadium. We’re installing generators at Barker Creek and Green Mountain. And designs are in progress for the future district administrative offices and Kitsap Regional Library branch in a portion of the current Central Kitsap High School building, a theater at Ridgetop, and parking improvements at Cougar Valley.

Status: Most of the major construction work is complete, and we’ve begun the work of setting up the school.

What’s next: Appliances, equipment and furniture will continue to be installed and moved into the new building.

Status: Concrete is going in the entryway courtyard. Hoops are up in the gym and drywall is going up in the locker rooms.

What’s next: Work will continue inside the school and on the ball fields. 

Klahowya Secondary
Footings for grandstands

Status: The grandstands are going up! Concrete work to support the grandstands has begun.

What’s next: Construction of the grandstands and an athletic storage building continue. 

Safety & Security

Construction at Green Mountain

Status: Work on security vestibules has started at Green Mountain and Fairview. Work at Brownsville, Esquire Hills, PineCrest and Woodlands is nearing the finish line.

What’s next: Work will begin soon at Clear Creek and Hawk! We’ll request bids for Cottonwood and Cougar Valley this spring.
