Community Partnerships

We believe in building collaborative partnerships with our community. Our partnerships focus on offering students real-world learning opportunities, providing students with extra resources and encouraging students to give back to our community.

Our Community Partners

Thank you to our community partners, who include:

  • PTSA and other parent groups: Parents are indispensable partners in supporting student learning. They support our schools in numerous ways, including providing resources for classrooms and experiences for students.

  • SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council): Provides information and support for parents, advocates and others who work with students with special needs

  • Horizon Air: This partnership helps students explore and build skills that can land them a variety of careers in aviation, from aerospace engineering to commercial pilots. Features of this partnership include professional development for aviation teachers, aviation experts as guest speakers for classes, internship and mentorship opportunities for students, and new curriculum and improvements to existing aviation-related curriculum

  • Integrity Roofing and Construction: In 2018, this local business provided naming rights and advertising space in the athletic facilities for five years. The gift was used to offset the costs of bleachers at Olympic High and Klahowya Secondary School, and they installed roofing at the stadiums on both campuses.

  • Johnsonlink Orthodontics: In 2018, this local business provided funding for maps, wayfinding, and historical markers to the outdoor walking and cross-country trail on the Central Kitsap High School and Central Kitsap Middle School campus. JohnsonLink Trail is a resource for our entire community.

  • Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office

  • Kitsap Credit Union: KCU sponsored outdoor athletic facilities including football field and track, baseball field, softball field, and tennis courts on the Central Kitsap High School campus. Their sponsorship offset the costs of bleachers. An agreement signed in 2018, gives KCU naming rights to the “Kitsap Credit Union Athletic Complex,” and advertising space for six years.

  • Kitsap Public Health District

  • Kitsap Regional Library Foundation

  • Linder Educational Foundation: provides staff and student grants that support educational excellence in Central Kitsap schools.

  • Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF (PSNS & IMF) and Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) – Division Keyport: This partnership helps students explore projects in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and relate those projects to careers, from mechanics to engineers. This partnership includes professional development for teachers, a variety of Naval relevant hands-on STEM projects led by mentors from PSNS & IMF and NUWC-Keyport, field trips, guest speakers, and internship opportunities.
