Superintendent Search: The first steps
Our school board wants to hear from you!
Posted on 11/20/2018

Superintendent David McVicker has announced that he is retiring. The search is underway for a new superintendent, and our school board is asking for your help.

What qualities would you like to see in a new leader? What experience should that person have? Should the board consider special areas of knowledge or skills?

There are two ways for you to share your input: in person or online.

To share in person, please join us for a Community Input Meeting on Thursday, November 29, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held at our Teaching & Learning Center at Barker Creek (1400 NE McWilliams Road, Bremerton).

If you are not able to attend, please consider sharing your thoughts through an online survey, instead. The survey will be open December 3-14.

Our school board and search committee members will use your feedback as they move forward in the selection process. Choosing a new superintendent is one of the most important decisions a school board can make, and we look forward to your participation!

The board anticipates announcing the new superintendent by the end of March.
