Impact Aid Survey 2019

On October 1, we’ll give all students a purple impact aid survey form to bring home, along with a letter from the Commander of Navy Region Northwest

Please complete both sides of the form for each student. Turn them in to your school’s main office.

This survey is critical to our district. The results qualify us for funding, called impact aid, from the federal government. We will not receive these funds unless forms are completed for all students —even students who are not federally connected.

An early thank you to all who return their forms quickly!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What Is Impact Aid?

Impact aid supports students whose families live and/or work on federal property. Around here, that’s a lot of families! About half of our students are federally connected.

The federal program reimburses school districts for lost property taxes due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal property, or that have experienced increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected children.

What Does Impact Aid Pay For?

We use impact aid to support learning in many ways. It funds activities and athletics, instructional materials and more. We also use funds for counselors and safety and security.

Do We Need to Fill Out a Form for Each Child?

Yes, please! Aid is based on forms for each student, and we are not allowed to put more than one child on each application.

Does This Violate OPSEC Requirements?

No. Impact Aid forms do not collect unit-specific information or personal details for military personnel beyond what is already included in your student’s enrollment paperwork. The only additional information collected is a service member's rank. The Department of the Navy has asked all military-connected families to complete and return their Impact Aid forms.
